Austin Ruggiero was born on November 10, 1995 in Bethlehem, PA. His parents are Becka Klein Ruggiero and Anthony Ruggiero and his sister is Caitlyn Ruggiero. He was born with jaundice, a liver disorder which makes your skin yellow. So he had to sit in the sun constantly. As a toddler he loved to watch Blues Clues (a tv show) and to play outside. He did not like to ever be by himself. When he was about 5 or 6, he started playing baseball and soccer. He loved sports and soon joined the football and basketball teams. While this was happening, Austin was ahead of his class in school. He then was tested for enrichment and by the end of 1st grade he was in the gifted class. His parents were very proud of him. Within the next few years he quit soccer and football and continued to play basketball and baseball. In 7th grade he joined the track team and in August he joined the cross-country team. He still lives in Bangor, PA with his family and dog, Buddy, while trying to balance sports, school and family.
